Once you’ve received your USB or Dropbox link filled with your newly digitised photos from our Photos2Archive scanning team, you may be wondering what to do with all your snapshots? Here are a few photo gift ideas to surprise and delight your loved ones, family or friends.
Heart Snapshot Photo Frame
Select a few dozen photos of your favorite couples. These could be your parents, friends or you and your spouse! Next, size them down to small thumbnails and use the “insert image” function of your favorite document processing or presentation software to arrange these in a heart-shape. Finally, have the heart-shaped collage printed and then set into a photo frame to give as a unique gift!
A customised Rubik’s Cube
This one is perfect if you have a friend or loved one who loves puzzles. Pick six of your most interesting portraits from your collection of digitised photos. Next, crop these portraits so that their dimensions are 1:1 or square and then print them so that they are the same size as your Rubik’s Cube. Cut out the printed photos and then use a ruler to divide each photo so that they each take up one facet of the Rubik’s Cube. Stick on the smaller photo pieces onto the Rubik’s Cube and you’re done!
A Digital Photo Frame
You’ve digitised your photos, so why not get a digital photo frame? This is basically a device with a screen that can display your photos either from physical media such as a memory card or USB thumb drive or by getting the photos from the cloud. Inexpensive digital photo frames are available on the market, but you can also repurpose an old iPad or Android device for this.
These are just a few ideas that you can utilise to take advantage of the flexibility of your digitised photos. If you’d like to learn more about how we make it easy to digitise your photos, contact us at Photos2Archive.
